TMI recently supplied a single-layer palletising line for paper valve sacks for the Feyma 25 plant in Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz).
An ILERPAL palletiser handles the sacks by means of side pushing by layers. The sacks are turned by an orientation flap to form the mosaics.
The advantage of the orientation flap, apart from giving a new shape – side flattening – to the sack once it has been flattened, is that all its mechanisms operate around the upper part of the sack. Taking into account that valve sacks are not hermetically sealed, there is always a certain loss of wastes through the valve. These wastes do not affect the flap, but would affect other turning mechanisms such as grilles, orientation crossovers, or turn end-stops.
