LESA - Palletizing of fertilizers

The Leonesa Astur firm, whose plant is located in El Burgo Ranero (León), produces and distributes granulated fertilisers and seeds in sacks of 25 and 40 kg.

It has a fertiliser packaging line incorporating an FFS-type tubular-spool automatic bag-making machine. The capacity of the line is around 1,000 x 25 kg sacks per hour.

The sacks are carried to a high-level ILERPAL palletiser, which operates by means of pushing the layers and a mobile platform. Each sack is shaped by means of a belt flattener before entering the palletiser. In addition, each layer is shaped at the sides and on the top, thus achieving an optimal finish of the pallet and the best conditions of stability.

Due to the corrosive nature of the product to be packaged, the palletiser has been equipped with a special constructive kit to withstand the effects of corrosion.
