Proan and TMI, an Alliance to Grow with Efficiency

Giovanni Marques, Head of Finished Products and Packaging Machines at the Maka plant of the Proan Group, shares his experience after more than 13 years working with the company, including four years at the plant dedicated to pet food production.

Faced with a context marked by staff shortages and turnover, low production levels, and rapid plant growth, Proan decided to invest in automation. "One of the main needs that forced us to look for a solution was the lack of staff. We were also experiencing low production and constant growth," explains Giovanni.

True to its culture of continuous improvement, the group attended several sector fairs in search of innovative solutions. This is how they came to know TMI. "We trust TMI because of their human touch and professionalism. They understood our needs perfectly," says Giovanni.

Moreover, the fact that other nearby companies were already using TMI machinery was a key factor in their decision. "When it comes to the machinery, it has worked very well for us. At first, there were some normal adaptation difficulties, but now the team is working in excellent conditions," he says.

The results have been clear:

• Increased stability in processes.
• Better technical communication and high-level after-sales service.
• Periodic visits without the need to request them.
• A 50% increase in production compared to the previous year.

Where they used to produce around 5 tons per hour on a manual line, they now reach between 9 and 10 tons with a TMI automated line. "Responsibility, precision, good product, and human touch. That's how I would define TMI," concludes Giovanni.
