The international trade fair POWTECH 2023 has established itself as the meeting point for experts in process engineering and particle technology. With over 9,500 trade visitors, of which 40 percent were international, and the participation of 553 exhibitors from 27 countries, POWTECH proved to be the epicenter of the most advanced solutions in process engineering and analysis for bulk solids, powder, and liquid processing. Additionally, the high-level program included 55 presentations where speakers discussed current challenges and specific industry solutions with trade visitors.

Heike Slotta, Executive Director of Exhibitions at NürnbergMesse, expressed her satisfaction: "POWTECH, in this edition together with PARTEC, has once again proven to be the epicenter of powder processing and particle technology, acting as a driving force in various sectors." The fair not only experienced a 16 percent increase in the number of exhibitors but also attracted a higher total number of visitors, exceeding 9,500. Marianny Eisenhofer, Director of POWTECH, added: "What makes POWTECH particularly outstanding is its practical approach. Exhibitors praised the high interest of trade visitors and the high quality of decision-makers present. The satisfaction of both exhibitors and visitors is essential."

POWTECH, one of the leading trade fairs in processing, maintained its international character, attracting participants mainly from Europe but extending its appeal to major processing markets worldwide. Forty-three percent of the exhibitors came from outside Germany, as did approximately 40 percent of the trade visitors. Countries such as Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the UK, the Czech Republic, China, and Turkey were well represented. Key sectors at the fair included chemicals, food and feed, as well as pharmaceuticals, while machinery and plant manufacturers also played a significant role in the POWTECH community.

"It offers a unique opportunity to meet experts, learn, interact, and develop new ideas. At last it looks like business as usual is back in Australia, bringing back the trade shows for good. After several postponements since the start of the pandemic, BULK 2022 (short name for the AUSTRALIAN BULK HANDLING EXPO) will take place August 24-26 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Australian Bulk Handling Expo is supported by the Australian Society for Bulk Solids Handling (ASBSH), who will host an industry conference, while the trade expo will showcase the latest in bulk materials handling equipment and technologies.

TMI will be present alongside its local partner, Packweigh Equipment, at stand 4306. Packweigh Equipment designs and manufactures weighing and bagging equipment since the 1970s in Brisbane, and trades TMI's bagging, palletizing and stretch wrapping equipment to round out its portfolio.

1. EXPOSOLIDOS

May opens with an event that you should not miss if your company produces any type of solid product: EXPOSOLIDOS 2022, which will be held from 10 to 12 May. This exhibition of reference for the industry - in its 10th edition - will be held together with POLUSOLIDOS and EXPOFLUIDOS, two complementary events which generate great synergies.

Previously EXPOSOLIDOS was located exclusively at the La Farga exhibition centre in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, but this year the event is presenting a new feature: its growth has led to an expansion with a further pavilion at the Cornellá exhibition centre, with both venues being connected by a shuttle.

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Premio Pyme 2020 prize (SME of the Year 2020) by the Chamber of Commerce of Lleida and Banco Santander, with the collaboration of the SEGRE Group. The award acknowledges the efforts and contribution to regional economic development of SMEs, the capacity to generate employment, as well as their internationalisation and responsible management.

Thanks to our experience developing solutions for bagging and palletising, we were able to win the candidacy, beating the 27 other companies that competed for the award this year. There were 17 companies competing in the previous edition, and Josep Ramón París, the general secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, highlighted this "notable" increase.

The jury recognised TMI's commitment to internationalisation. Seven out of every ten euros invoiced by the company are generated by exports, and we currently operate in more than 40 countries around the world. In addition, since 2017, we have a subsidiary in Mexico. They also considered the "modern facilities" located in the Camí dels Frares industrial estate in Lleida, which were exlarged two years ago, as well as the total number of workers.
